El objetivo de este portal es que todos los miembros de Wikimedia Small Projects puedan encontrar y fundar proyectos o programas innovadores e importantes además de evaluar y compartir el trabajo realizado.
Aparte del apoyo en asesoramiento, herramientas y la oportunidad de contar su historia para compartir su conocimiento, si el proyecto o programa resulta tener un alcance muy efectivo, también será incluido en el Plan de Financiamiento Anual de Wikimedia Small Projects para que obtenga un impulso económico y pueda continuar de manera ininterrumpida.
Ten en consideración que algunas propuestas necesitan más apoyo que otros, por ello fundamentalmente apoyamos las propuestas cuyo objetivo sea crear, recopilar y difundir contenido libre, especialmente en los proyectos excluidos de las comunidades emergentes.
Eres más que bienvenido de iniciar una nueva propuesta para obtener opiniones al respecto, pero debe realizarse después de una larga discusión a través de otros canales.
