In accordance with the provisions of [[Texto Fundamental#Consejo de Administración|Article IV]] of the Fundamental Text, the Board of Directors shall be composed of seven members: four of them shall be elected by the Assembly, two shall be appointed by the newly elected Board of Directors and one shall be reserved for the founder of the group. The members elected by the Assembly shall serve a five-year term, renewable for up to one additional term, for a maximum total of ten consecutive years. The members appointed by the new Board of Directors shall serve a three-year term, renewable for one additional term, for a total of six consecutive years. The founder's position shall be permanent. The Board of Directors of Wikimedia Small Projects User Group supervises the group and its work, and also to being in charge of its administration. It is one of the three main organs of the group.
It has seven seats; four seats chosen by the Assembly and one reserved for the group's founder who will be full voters, and two selected by the Board of Directors who will be alternate voters.
Each member of the Board has one vote, and decisions are made by the affirmative vote of the voting members present at the bimonthly meeting. Decisions can also be made through written resolutions without a prior meeting, which will only be approved if all members of the Council sign them.
